The king of the dwarves has finally issued the order to the houses of each clan: It is imperative to reclaim Karrak-sür-Kazar, the sacred mountain and ancestral home of the dwarves since the first Age of the Beard. For too long, it has been occupied by the poison of the dark lords, with their creatures defiling the halls that once housed the noblest of all dwarves. The insult can no longer continue. The dwarves return to the mountain!
Designed by Germán P. Millán (author of Bitoku, Sabika, and Men Nefer) and illustrated by Enrique Fernández, Covenant can be enjoyed solo or in games for up to 4 players, ages 14 and up, in sessions lasting approximately 100 minutes. In Covenant, each player is the chief of a dwarven clan that has accepted the pact to reclaim the dwarves' ancestral home. Over the course of three rounds, called eras, each clan will contribute to the reconstruction of the lost city, conquered and devastated by dark forces centuries ago.
During their turns, players will assign their clan's dwarves to different tasks, which will allow them to explore the ancient halls and expel their enemies while rebuilding their ancestral home. At the end of the game, the clan with the most glory will receive the monarch's recognition and victory.
Dwarf tokens and tools will allow players to perform all kinds of actions: excavate the mountain, defeat the enemies that dwell there, and construct all kinds of buildings that will bring light back to the ancient halls. When players have resolved their clan turns, they will meet in council, at which point they will recover their dwarves, gain advantages, and gain glory points for various aspects of the game. Will your clan succeed in restoring the lost glory of the dwarves?
