Kaissa SA was founded in 1985 by a group of chess players, initially as a chess shop. But soon it expanded its activities in other, innovative at that time gaming categories like Strategy & Fantasy Board Games, Role Playing Games and Miniature Wargames.
In 1993, with the appearance of Magic the Gathering and essentially the birth of the Trading Card Games, Kaissa SA begins the distribution of its products to Hobby stores.
In 2000, with the release of the Pokemon TCG, the company is expanding its distribution to Mass Market shops, since this game is very popular to the general public.
A year later, in 2001, the first "Kaissa" board games are translated into Greek. Their success pushes the company to translate more games, reaching the current rate of about 20 new titles per year.
In 2003 Kaissa strengthens its distribution network even more, thanks to the appearance of yet another Trading Card Game, Yu-Gi-Oh!.
By the year 2013, Kaissa SA as an Authorized Distributor of Hasbro, expands its distribution network into the European market, and also to countries of the Middle East.
At the same time, Kaissa supports a comprehensive Organized Play system, comprising of demonstration and learning events and friendly tournaments up to national championships. The Greek champions participate in European and World Championships with frequent successes.
